Thank you CLE, more to come

September 23 — More than 1,050 times over, thank you. My eyeoncleveland.com website has seen more than 1700 visits in the past week, and over 1,050 of them were yesterday, mainly on the story of the Strongsville GOP’s vigil for Charlie Kirk Sunday evening.

If you didn’t read it, here’s a link to that story: https://eyeoncleveland.com/2025/09/22/cle-honors-charlie-kirk/

There are two important additions today. As mentioned Monday, Robert Kilo, National Executive Director of School Ministries, gave a brief (67-second) postscript to the vigil. School Ministries is a national association of released time Bible education programs (there will be more about this in a future story on this website). A video of that is now linked just below.

Additionally, Photographer Liam Kalka has posted all of the images he took on Sunday night to a web page for those present to see. The link for this is just below.

UP NEXT: Our Congress has been kicking the federal deficit/debt can “on down the road” 78 times since 1960, and our federal deficit is now more than $37 trillion. Adding insult to injury, it now appears that for the 20th time since the current federal budget process was established in 1976, there will be what the people in Washington DC like to call a “funding gap” come October 1. If this leads to a government shutdown, likely at this writing, it will be the 11th significant shutdown where federal employees will be furloughed in the past 50 years.

Something is terribly wrong with how our government is functioning. We’ll look at the only solution big enough to solve this massive problem, a Convention of States, next.
